The 70-bedroom Vine Hotels property set in the heart of Shakespeare country, The Charlecote Pheasant, has this week appointed Amelia Reid as its new sales executive.
Amelia joins the Hotel just a month after the property was reopened on August 4, 2020. The historic Warwickshire hotel had been forced to shut in May 2020, when its previous occupier was placed into administration, but it has since become a part of the Vine Hotels portfolio and has been relaunched.
Amelia takes up her role with the Hotel team following five years in event wedding and corporate event sales roles at the Village Hotel, Coventry, and prior to this as a wedding planner for seven years with TUI, UK & Ireland.
‘This is an exciting opportunity for me to join a hotel with great ambition’ says Amelia
‘In a difficult time for the industry, I am lucky to have found a hotel that is keener than ever to evolve its services, to offer customers a wider range of event options, and to explore new markets for the business. This will be my primary focus for the short term, alongside ensuing that events and weddings at the Hotel meet the highest standards. I’m thrilled to be joining at this key time in the Hotel’s development.’
The company has reinstated many of the 12 staff who were previously made redundant, including general manager John McGhee, and is introducing three new jobs in the initial phase of reopening, of which Amelia is the first appointment.
The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel was originally Benham’s Farm, dating back to the 16th century, and is a venue that exudes charm with its original beams, character furnishings and exposed brickwork. It offers a six meeting rooms, all with natural daylight, and a bar, restaurant and beautiful landscaped gardens. Situated just four miles from the M40 and 18 miles from Birmingham Airport, the hotel is easily accessed from all main transport routes. https://charlecotepheasanthotel.co.uk
